Our account might as well have been called ‘Stripe Knits’—we simply can’t get enough of them! With the Stork Coming Home Set, we wanted to create a set that fits the baby perfectly on the journey home from the hospital—not too big and not too tight under the chin.
The cardigan is knitted top-down in stockinette stitch, with raglan increases and short rows in the neck for a better fit around the baby’s neck. The side button band is picked up at the end.
The trousers are knitted top-down, with short rows over the bum and a long ribbed waistband that sits comfortably over the baby’s tummy. The hat is knitted bottom-up, featuring a small knot on top and a folded brim.
The coming-home set can be knitted with stripes, in a solid color, or as a combination of both.
